Congresswoman Houlahan tours learning center in Berks

READING, Pa. - Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan was in Reading Friday to check on the status of a project she has supported.

She visited the Oakbrook Homes Patton Learning Center.

The center will offer child care, as well as resources to help people get resume help and learn about job training.

Houlahan says a federal grant supplied nearly $2 million for the project.

"This is an amazing opportunity for our community. It comes as a result of some money from something called the Community Project Fund, which is federal resources that come to a community as a result of this community asking and apply for them and it's going to change lives," Houlahan said.

The center is expected to open in the spring.
